Here's what's Happening at Hartman

Ms. Salter's class has been working hard to increase awareness of Autism at Hartman.  Homerooms all completed puzzle pieces for this banner which is on display this week.  The class has also been fundraising and selling blue "treats" with great success the past few weeks.

The Junior Boys Basketball team and Junior Girls basketball team have both started the season with winning games last week, way to go Heroes!  Thanks to coaches, Mr. Hammell, Ms. Stickle, and Mr. Edwards.

i-walk Wednesday continues, students are encouraged to walk, bike or scooter to school.  Mr. Edwards has been tracking class participation and he has also been working with the healthy schools team to promote healthy living at Hartman.

The Arts team is working under the supervision of Mr. Carvalho.  The Crayola project this year will be revealed June 17th.  Mr. Carvalho has been busy collecting 150 large boxes for the project!

The Badminton team try-outs for grades 6-7-8 have started, under the supervision of Mr. Carvalho

Silver Birch and Red Maple reading clubs continue to meet and share about the books they are reading, with Ms. Allen supervising.  Our library is a busy place, Ms. Allen has also been providing students with opportunities to use green screen technology as well as teaching a group of students how to quilt!

We have a new "Cheerleading Squad" who meet twice a week to practice.  We will hopefully see them perform in April.

Drama groups continue to practice under the supervision of Mr. Boyd.

Try-outs for the Orff ensemble began last week, Mr. Wallace is looking for talent!

Twin Day was a big success!  Way to show your school spirit Hartman!
